I am current a third year fellow in a combined pediatric hematology/oncology and pediatric neuro-oncology program in the Northeast. I am also a husband, a scientist, a cyclist, a herder of cats, a music-lover, public radio junkie, amateur photographer, and avid reader (among other things). You can e-mail me by clicking here.
Many of the things that catch my eye on a daily basis end up in this blog, on my bookmarks page (which eventually lands on this blog), or on del.icio.us. I do a fairly good job at tagging my bookmarks. Here’s the most up-to-date tag cloud of the things that I’ve collected so far.
With regard to privacy: I am very conscious of privacy concerns and will do anything and everything to respect the privacy of any patient I currently care for, or have ever encountered, as well as that of their families. If I have any hesitation to write about someone else for any reason, I will not to write about it at all. I will never use names or any identifying characteristics of patients without their documented permission. In in the event that I describe certain events, those names or characteristics have been altered or deleted in order to protect confidentiality and conform to HIPAA guidelines. Clinical situations described are not temporally related to posting – they may have taken place in the distant past, in the near past, or not at all. Any real names or photos used here are done with the clear and expressed permission of the parent.
