Dr. Blackman:
Pleased to meet you. My name is Mark Lombardo, Director of Professional Services for the Allscripts eRx Group. I stumbled upon your blog and I truly appreciate your enthusiasm. I wanted to extend a personal invitation to be one of our Early Adopters for eRx NOW should you want to learn more, give it a test drive, etc. I’d value your feedback should you take me up on this offer, and even if not, let me know if there are any questions I can answer for you or anything I can clear up for you.
Thanks!

You left out brother and uncle on your list of what you are, not that I’m picking at the details.
Great blog, where does someone add embarassing personal stories from your childhood?

I see you’ve removed a post I made to you, I hope I didn’t offend you in any way what-so-ever. I can’t think of anything I said that could have been taken wrong, but perhaps you were just removing things that didn’t fit your site. I’m sorry you have had some recent trouble over here. I like this site too. I wish you only the best.

Do you feel recent news related risks and problems related to the drug “Epogen” are over blown? Epogen seems like a critical drug for cancer patients.
I apologize for leaving this comment here. But i did not know how else to contact you. Can you reply via email?
Thank you for your thoughts.

Hi,
My case manager asked me to look up “crying” on the computer. So I did. I found you. I could relate to your words. I have not cried in over a year. I am being treated for depression. I was going to just read and leave but I saw a place to reply so I thought, why not?
Thank you for some ideas to think about.
Sincerely, Lori

I tried ERx Now, the “free version”, and am sorely disappointed! I was very happy about the free service, including a bridge to my practice management software provided by Hilgraeve. The bridge by Hilgraeve sent fairly smoothly. However, Allscripts has had one problem after another. It has now been several months, and my ERx Now continues to freeze - basically non-functional. Apparently there are different levels of customer support for the free and paid versions. Basically non-existent for the free version. Overall, the service by AllScripts has been extremely disappointing and I still do not have a functioning service. Perhaps you are listening, Mark Lombardo, Director of Professional Services for the Allscripts eRx Group. Perhaps you can look into your company’s lack of support.

Hi Sam,
It’s a pleasure reading your blog. I am in the process of applying to medical school and very much enjoy reading your day to day thoughts on medicine. I have just begun a blog on issues affecting how healthcare systems perform clinically and financially(http://ihealthsystems.blogspot.com). If you have a second I would love to hear any feedback or thoughts that you have.
All the best, I’ll continue to enjoy your writing!

I have a very intersting child who is in need of help and I have lots and lots of records, backgound, etc.
My son is 10 and we have been dealing with “strange” medical issues since he was 18 months old, it is now impacting his quality of life.
In brief he has had 4 bouts of ITP since 1999, the latest bout he became refractory to all medication. Then in 2006 he became ill with what we thought was the flu and eventually admitted to Dartmouth with critical neutropenia. He has had every test known to man and nothing is giving us an answer. He has been seen at Dartmouth and Children’s. He has a rare Jak 3 gene mutation, ADA deficiency and neutropenia along with multiple other complaints. Please help.

For the past four and a half years I have visited CTCA over a dozen times. Each time I am overwhelmed with the graciousness and concern of all the staff. The care each patient is given is unmatched anywhere. The doctors spend as much time with each patient as needed, you never feel rushed to leave so they can get to another patient.

An elderly gentleman being, one evening, in the company of some persons
who were much amused at the witty sayings of a child , said to some one near him, that witty children usually made stupid men. The child heard him and said to him: “Sir, you were very witty, no doubt when you were young.”

Hey,
NewDoctor.com has been considered and strives to be the largest virtual hospital with the most accurate database of medical professionals in the world. We have compiled this database of roughly 1,000 US based medical professionals in the efforts of offering their medical advice to the public. We understand their are 47 million people in America alone who have no health coverage or very minimal health coverage. This is without mentioning the likely billions of suffering people around the world who have no access to any medical advice or help. Our site is a direct portal for these suffering people to connect with any of the medical professionals listed for FREE. We make this possible by implementing our IP phone network which has been established around the world. The IP phone network is an important assett in making sure this website remains FREE and accesible to the global public. We feel anyone no matter socio-economic status should have the right to receive medical consultation and are in an effort to make this feasable. Your website seems to be a valuable resource to the medical world and has a large public. You can help us in our efforts by simply posting a banner or link on your website for NewDoctor.com, making your public aware of the possibilities on our site. We have included a code for our banner within this email and image so you may visualize it. Thank you for your time and efforts, we appreciate your hard work!
